It’s time to recognize and acknowledge volleyball players who are in one way or another, played well during the FIVB WORLD GRAND PRIX 2012. These awards symbolize the effort and hard work shown during the tournament. They will reap the fruit of their superb talents and skills in the field of volleyball.

NOOTSARA TOMPKOM – (THAILAND) – Best Setter

She bested all other setters from other countries. I like her because she makes a few errors. Great job Nootsara!

NESLIHAN DARNEL – (TURKEY) – Best Server

Darnel is really a powerful lefty spiker. With those superb aces, she proves to be the best of today’s grand prix.

THAISA MENEZES – (BRAZIL) – Best Blocker

This girl is really great at the middle of the net. No volleyball goes in when Thaisa puts a wall. Good job pretty girl!

XIAN ZHANG – (CHINA) – Best Digger & Best Libero

This gal is so quick to get those first balls. She’s really diligent to carry her job as libero. She always supports the wing spikers and outside hitters and the middle attackers. China needs her in the 2012 Olympics.

GULDEN KAYALAR – (TURKEY) – Best Receiver (Jersey #2)

She follows her coach with this tag line “one good receive”. She passes the ball well to the setter. It helped Turkey a lot during the match against China,Cuba , Brazil, USA and Thailand.

YOANA PALACIOS – (CUBA) – Best Spiker

With the absence of Carcases, Yoana managed to bring her team to the final round. With her great leap and powerful kills, Yoana can fool the blockers to smash a down the line hit.

MEGAN HODGE – (USA) – Best Scorer & Most Valuable Player

Wow! This award-winning spiker from America really awesome. Megan is a smart player. She always makes sure that she kills the ball. With her mighty spikes and strong attacks, Megan deserves the MVP. She brought the team in an undefeated mode. USA never lost a single match. Incredible!

To all the winners, CONGRATULATIONS! May your tribe increase. You make volleyball so fun and wonderful! You bring us joy and happiness. You light up our world as far as volleyball is concerned. KUDOS and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
