The Chinese have claimed their 4th title in FIVB Girls U18 after their exciting match between the Americans last Sunday in Thailand.
China won in straight sets, (3-0), 25-16, 25-21, 25-23, against the USA. The Chinese have controlled the game in the opening set with superb attacks above the net. The Americans tried to bounce back in the second set but the Chinese were unstoppable and sealed the set, 25-21. The Americans were determined to extend the match and dominated in the beginning but the Chinese capitalized their play and went ahead, 25-23.
Xinyue Yuan (CHINA) was chosen “Most Valuable Player” and “Best Middle Blocker”, Jordyn Poulter (USA) was the best setter and Yunlu Wang (CHINA) together with Brayelin Elizabeth Martinez (DOMINICAN REPUBLIC_ were the “Best Outside Hitters”. Audriana Fitzmorris (USA) was also chosen “Best Middle Blocker”, Angela Leyva (PERU) was “Best Oppsite” and Minori Wada (JAPAN) was the “Best Libero”.
