After the defeat of the defending champ, the Lady Spikers of De La Salle University (DLSU) came strong in Game 2 of the Finals for the UAAL Season 76 against the Lady Eagles of Ateneo De Manila University at the Araneta Coliseum.

The Lady Spikers won over the Lady Eagles in four exciting sets, (3-1), 25-14, 25-19, 19-25, 26-24. So, the series tied at 1-1.

It was expected that the Green Spikers  would take their revenge against the Blue Eagles after the unexpected loss in their first game.

In the opening set, the Lady Spikers started very tough against the Lady Eagles as they dominated the kills above the net coming from Arra Galang, Mika Reyes and team captain Abi Marano. They combined their triple power and easily sealed the set, 25-14.

The second set also favored to the Greens despite the superb attacks from Alyssa Valdez and Ella De Jesus of the Blue Eagles. The DLSU squad took the set, 25-19.

But the ADMU squad rose from the dead in the third set as they were able to capitalize their game inside the court. Michelle Morente and Alyssa Valdez combined their excellent hits to outscore the Lady Spikers, 19-25.

With much determination to win the game, the Lady Spikers continued to pull away against the Lady Eagles but the Ateneo volleybelles wanted DLSU spikers to force a fifth set. However, Arra Galang and Cyd Demecillo have the same thing in mind and won the game, 26-24.

After winning twice against the Lady Bulldogs of National University, the Lady Eagles of Ateneo De Manila University (ADMU) marched into the Finals and faced the 3-peat defending champ, the Lady Spikers of De La Salle University (DLSU) who gained thrice to beat advantage in the step ladder format of the UAAP Season 76.

In their first game, the Blue Eagles dominated in four sets against the Green Spikers, (3-1) , 17-25, 25-23, 25-13, 25-20 at the famous Araneta Coliseum.Ateneo

The Lady Spikers with a great momentum displayed much power in the opening set. Arra Galang and team captain Abigail Marano combined their powerful kills above the net and easily trounced the Lady Eagles, 17-25.

But the Lady Eagles tried to showcase their great attacks. They were able to capitalize their game. As Alyssa Valdez and Michelle Morente teamed up to go ahead the defensive Lady Spikers. With an unforced error from Cyd Demicillo, Ateneo took the second set, 25-23.

And the Eagles continued to soar higher in the 3rd set, as the Lady Spikers lost their momentum in both offense and defense above the net. They were easily clawed by the Ateneo ladies, 25-13.

Trying to force a decider, the Lady Spikers started in a good shape in the fourth set, but the unstoppable Alyssa Valdez plus the “Elevator” Ella De Jesus and Amy Ahomiro made their statement and contributed much to seal the match, 25-20.

Their next game will be on Saturday, Game 2. I am pretty sure that this would be an exciting volleyball match to see.

Welcome to TIP. ABC, CBS, NBC and all the cable news channels are all bought and paid for and report what they are told to report. The MSM lies to and instigates people into political argument and gossip that leads to dead-end roads and distracts from the real issues. There is much better informational news reporting away from the Democrat and Republican tail-spinning arguments that are usually rooted in confusion and hate.. TIP is your alternative.
