Viva USA!

I saw the great power and determination of the US Women’s National Volleyball team in Montreux Volley Masters 2014. After winning three times in a row for their group, the American spikers qualified in the Semifinals. The second best team in the world will play against the victorious Russians in this season.

ImageSeason 76 of the UAAP is really giving much delight to all the volleyball fanatics out there.

It was a wonderful match between the Lady Falcons of Adamson University and the Lady Tamaraws from Far Eastern University.  The former defeated the latter in 4 sets, (3-1), 25-15, 17-25, 25-17, 25-23.

The Falcons dominated the first set with superb kills above the net and upset the Tamaraws having many unforced errors.

The FEU squad rose from the dead in the second set  and sealed it ahead, 17-25 against the Falcons. Great attacks from Bernadette Pons and Maritoni Basas helped them win and tied the  set apiece.

But the Lady Falcons showed much determination in the third set and left the Tamaraws, 25-17.

Hoping to get an exciting 5th set, the Tamaraws  with the biggest lead, 14-21. However, Shiela pIneda, Mayette Zapanta and Marleen Cortel combines their triple combo attacks and tied at 23 all.  Coach Shaq called a time out to remind her girls to relax and vary the attacks. But the Falcons were unstoppable and sealed the match 25-23.

Great comebacl for the Lady Falcons after they were defeated by the Lady Eagles of Ateneo De Manila University in 5 sets, (2-3), 22-25, 19-25, 25-16, 25-18, 13-15.

The local on-going collegiate volleyball tournament, UAAP Season 76 Women’s Volleyball is becoming exciting and really awesome.  Volleyball fanatics are always loaded with glee while watching different volleyball matches in San Juan Arena.

Among the eight teams in this year’s competition, the Lady Spikers of De La Salle University remains on the top position and are UNDEFEATED! Cheers to all the volleyball stars and fanatic from DLSU.

Recently, the DLSU squad outscored the Lady Tamaraws of Far Eastern University in four exciting sets, (3-1), 25-11 , 23-25, 25-20, 25-10.

Among the ten matches that the Lady Spikers had, they all won! Congratulations!

Who would really think that kind of exemplary performance inside the volleyball court of the Thai National Women’s Volleyball team in the 2013 Asian Women Volleyball Championship? Asian volleyball has not been that exciting without Thailand in every volleyball tournament.

ImageThe strong Thais have outsmarted the determined Japanese in three straight sets, (3-0), 25-22, 25-18, 25-17.  In their opening set, both squads showcased a see-saw of scores inside the court, trying to outscore one another.  But Thailand showed much better reception than Japan and the match ended at 25-22.

ImageIn the second set, the Japanese were not able to capitalize their A-game and left behind by the Thais in 25-18. Though, they have shown much effort in their attacks but good reception from the Thais’ squad helped them a lot for better hits above the net.

The last set was Japan’s chance to rise from the dead but to no avail. The Japanese powerhouse struggled the same situation to outsmart the Thais. They didn’t have enough juice to force the Thais to extend the match. With a good finish, Thailand ended the set in 25-17.  Good job from both teams and they showed a very high quality Asian volleyball this year. Congratulations!

THE INTERNET POST

Welcome to TIP. ABC, CBS, NBC and all the cable news channels are all bought and paid for and report what they are told to report. The MSM lies to and instigates people into political argument and gossip that leads to dead-end roads and distracts from the real issues. There is much better informational news reporting away from the Democrat and Republican tail-spinning arguments that are usually rooted in confusion and hate.. TIP is your alternative.
