It was a victorious match between the RC Cola and EST Cola as they clashed yesterday at the San Juan Arena for the Finals of the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) Invitational League 2016. The former won in four sets, (3-1), 25-23, 25-23, 14-25, 25-23.

After winning two games in a round robin platform, two teams prevailed to be undefeated. The RC Cola of the Philippines and the EST Cola of Thailand clashed in the Finals of the Philippine Super Liga 2016 Invitational League.
In the opening set, both teams showed great offense and defense above the net and showed see-saw of scores but after some unforced errors made by EST Cola spikers, they were behind of two points, 25-23, and the RC Cola won the set.
The same thing happened in the 2nd set but the Philippine squad found a better way to end the set, 25-23, and left the Thai team two sets to none.

However, the 3rd set favored with the Thai volleybelles as they trounced the Filipino spikers with powerful spikes and solid blocks and sealed the set, 14-25.
The Philippine team came back into its rhythm in the 4th set as they tried to end the match against the Thai squad. The same scenario happened as they enjoyed the see saw of scores but Jovelyn Gonzaga of the RC Cola finished the match with a great kill, 25-23.
It was really a great comeback for the Philippine team after a defeat in Thailand two weeks ago during the Thai-Denmark Volleyball League.
One of the promising volleyball players in the Philippines today is Alyssa Daphne Santiago aka “Jaja” from the National University (NU) Lady Bulldogs.
Jaja is the sister of the former NU Opposite Spiker, Aleona Denise “Dindin” Santiago who started her collegiate volleyball career in the UAAP from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST).
She is currently playing in the UAAP and a member of Foto Toplanders which won the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix last December 2015 and will represent the country for the Asian Club Women’s Championship in Thailand in September this year.
Petron Tri Activ spikers didn’t have enough power to outsmart the EST Cola volleybelles from Thailand after a straight sweep, (3-0), 25-12, 25-12, 25-23 at the San Juan Arena earlier this Friday evening, April 08, 2016 of the on-going Philippine Super Liga (PSL) Invitational League 2016.
It was a very slow start of the Pinay spikers as the Thai belles enjoyed their unstoppable attacks above the net in the first two sets. The combination plays from a good reception from the Thai libero helped much the front row attackers to kill the Mikasa inside the volleyball court.
But the Philippine squad tried to bounce back in the 3rd set after executing some solid blocks against Sutadta above the net and enjoyed a comfortable lead, 12-8. But the Thai spikers eventually found their rhythm as they tried to run and tied the score at 20 all.
Due to some unforced errors from the Pinay belles, EST Cola claimed the victory of the match at 25-23.

The Thailand squad, EST Cola outscored F2 Logistics of the Philippines in straight sets yesterday (3-0), 25-14, 25-15, 25-17 at the San Juan Arena in San Juan City of the on-going Philippines Super Liga (PSL) Invitational League 2016.

The Philippines has a representative for an international volleyball event this year for the Asian Men’s Club Volleyball Championship. With a little time to prepare of the said event, two guest players who would help the Filipino spikers, Cedric Legrand, open spiker and William Lewis, setter.
In their first match, the Philippines outscored the strong squad from Mongolia in three straight sets, (3-0), 25-13, 25-23, 25-16.

With the thrice to beat advantage, the Lady Spikers of De La Salle University are still confident to defend their championship title. But the Lady Eagles of Ateneo De Manila University are hopeful and prepared having two sets win against the Spikers, to claim the gold medal this season in the UAAP women’s volleyball history.
Yes! It showed in their do-or-die match when the Eagles outsmarted the Spikers in three straight sets, (3-0), 25-23, 26-24, 25-21. The Lady Eagles stopped the Lady Spikers to hold the championship title in the UAAP.

The continued quest for the Lady Eagles of Ateneo De Manila University to win the gold medal in the UAAP Season 76 is in the right track as the Ateneo squad upset the Lady Spikers in a very exciting 5-setter, (3-2), 25-21, 25-23, 18-25, 16-25, 17-15 during their Game 3 volleyball encounter at the Mall of Asia Arena.
