After winning two games in a round robin platform, two teams prevailed to be undefeated. The RC Cola of the Philippines and the EST Cola of Thailand clashed in the Finals of the Philippine Super Liga 2016 Invitational League.

In the opening set, both teams showed great offense and defense above the net and showed see-saw of scores but after some unforced errors made by EST Cola spikers, they were behind of two points, 25-23, and the RC Cola won the set.

However, the 3rd set favored with the Thai volleybelles as they trounced the Filipino spikers with powerful spikes and solid blocks and sealed the set, 14-25.

The Philippine team came back into its rhythm in the 4th set as they tried to end the match against the Thai squad. The same scenario happened as they enjoyed the see saw of scores but Jovelyn Gonzaga of the RC Cola finished the match with a great kill, 25-23.

It was really a great comeback for the Philippine team after a defeat in Thailand two weeks ago during the Thai-Denmark Volleyball League.

Jaja is the sister of the former NU Opposite Spiker, Aleona Denise “Dindin” Santiago who started her collegiate volleyball career in the UAAP from the University of Sto. Tomas (UST).

She is currently playing in the UAAP and a member of Foto Toplanders which won the Philippine Super Liga Grand Prix last December 2015 and will represent the country for the Asian Club Women’s Championship in Thailand in September this year.

The Thailand squad, EST Cola outscored F2 Logistics of the Philippines in straight sets yesterday (3-0), 25-14, 25-15, 25-17 at the San Juan Arena in San Juan City of the on-going Philippines Super Liga (PSL) Invitational League 2016.

Who says that “13” is an unlucky number? Believe it or not, the Russians claimed their 13th title in the European Volleyball Championship.

What an amazing performance for the 2012 Olympic Champ, RUSSIA, in the 2013 Men’s European Volleyball Championship. The powerful  Russians outsmarted the Italians in an exciting 4 sets, (3-1) – 25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 25-17.

ImageDuring this tournament, the Italians are showing their massive blocks above the net and very evident during their match against Bulgaria in the semifinals. However, the Russians have planned enough to destroy those blocks and were able to capitalize their play and dominated the opening and second sets of the match.

But the Italians fought back in the 3rd set (21-25) with their open hits and unforced errors from the Russian squad.  This upset the Euro champ and went in shape of their game in the 4th set. Dmitriy Muserskiy, led his team with his unstoppable quick and middle attacks. No wonder, he was chosen MVP of the tournament. 🙂

The third set, chance of Russia to bounce back, however, Brazil started well. But the Russians didn’t stop to tail the Olympic champ. Because of Brazil’s persistence to close the match, they sealed it at 25-22 with a cross-court hit.

However, it can be noticed that the Russians didn’t give in easily against the strong Brazilians.

Welcome to TIP. ABC, CBS, NBC and all the cable news channels are all bought and paid for and report what they are told to report. The MSM lies to and instigates people into political argument and gossip that leads to dead-end roads and distracts from the real issues. There is much better informational news reporting away from the Democrat and Republican tail-spinning arguments that are usually rooted in confusion and hate.. TIP is your alternative.
